Chapter 1
“V-room! V-room! “
It’s the sound of Mr Daniel’s car. He and his family had just arrived back home. Mr Daniel is a certified lawyer.He has one wife and was blessed with two lovely children. He lived in one of the best estate in the state.
Tunji, Mr Daniel’s eldest son come off the car to open the gate wide for the car to make it way into their lovely compound decorated with blossom and beautiful flowers because they no longer have a gatekeeper since Mr Gaji left for his village never returning and they haven’t find any one yet to take over…
Tunji open the main gate and walk in as the rest wait in the car.
Suddenly Tunji rushed out without opening the hate shouting and screaming “Daddy ! Mummy! you have to come and see this!”
“Tunji what’s… The matter? What happened? ” Mrs Daniel asked her son curiously and confused but he could not put an answer to the question as he rushed back in with his hands resting helplessly on his head.
The question ‘what could have happened? ‘ struck everyone’s mind.
Mr&mrs Daniel with Tinu rushed in to witness what could have been the cause of Tunji’s alarm.
When they got in, to their greatest shocking surprise, AN INTRUDER HAD BROKE INTO THEIR HOME!
The house had been seriously damaged. They come to discover their house had been invaded by an unknown person.
“OH.. MY.. GAD! What! ” Mr Daniel exclaimed loudly and shocked.
They walk in to discover that none of their properties was missing after proper checking was carried out by everyone of them.
“Isn’t this…weird!? “Mrs Daniel asked her husband.
Mr Daniel couldn’t respond but remain silent as he shook his head in great disbelief.
Tinu broke the silence saying “Daddy I think you… Should.. Call Mr Jimmy or what do you think cos…? “
Tunji was in support of tinuke’s, his sister suggestion “yeah daddy! I think tinuke’s is right call the police! “
Mr Jimmy is Mr Daniel childhood friend. They grew up together, attend the same school all through even went to the same university before Mr Jimmy joined the police force.
Mr Daniel picked up his phone and put a call through Jimmy to report the incident that had come up in his house. The family need the help of the police to come to their rescue.
In a twinkle of an eye, Jimmy with his colleagues arrived. They asked Daniel with his family series of question like
“Did you lock your gate and doors before…? “
“Did you have a misunderstanding with anyone or do you have a suspect? “
“Daniel did you involve in any case that brought you threat? “
Answers were put to those questions but something is still unanswerable by his friend and his men “Why did and why was our house broken and yet none of our properties got missing? “
Jimmy sighed also slightly hitting his lap with his car key, trying to figure out what it could be and what could have been the cause for the incident.
“I think I’ve… Never seen.. A case like this since I joined the police force” Jimmy said to everyone.
“Yeah! This is.. Really strange! “Dickson, one of his colleagues added.
“Felix take the shots of those damaged places it very important “
“ok” he responded as he did what Jimmy asked him to do-Taking the shots of their broken home.
Jimmy advised and suggest Daniel with his family should move out of their house for the main time till they apprehend those that have done This to them.
“Are we moving out??” Tunji asked him (Jimmy)
“Yes you are…! Your safety is our priority for now! ” he answered.
Text chimes on Jimmy’s phone. After checking he said
“Daniel we have to go. Pick some of your things and.. Let’s move! “
They hurriedly pick some of their and exit the place.
