🧞 Twirly 🧞
I was happy when I saw Arielle stirred up from her sleep, I smiled at her happily with tears in my eyes and it dropped to the floor.
“Arielle,” I called as I stared at her and her gaze shot toward me. She growl angrily when she saw me, she must have saw my wound. I knew she will not be happy when she saw my wound, she must be hating herself right now for bringing me here, she might have thought she brought me to the danger world.
“Arielle are you alright” I questioned and she nodded even though I knew she was not alright, she must have been worried about me.
“You don’t have to worry about me I’m save,” I said and she breath a sign of relief which makes me roll my eyes.
“What about you, you don’t look alright, it seems like your body is becoming pale. It might have been the effect of the antidote” I said and I hear him gasp in shock.
“Those cunning guards how dare them sedate me with that dangerous herb” she shouted while glaring at the guards and they returned it with a smirk.
“You said I was given the antidote, who gave me” she questioned and I rolled my eyes at her.
” They did,” I replied and she stared at me in disbelief. She must have thought they did it out of their own will but the truth is that they did because they were forced.
” They can’t do such a thing, someone must have threaten them,” She said and I rolled my eyes skeptically at them.
“You are right, they didn’t do it out of their own will they were forced to do to someone” I replied and she looked at me with confusion as she swam around the cage she was in.
“Who?” She questioned and I rolled my eyes at hee. She hate being kept in the dark and that was what I was doing. She would have snapped at me if not for who I am.
“My mate threatened them,” I said and her face went pale immediately she heard my words and I stared at her face concernedly.
Her expression changed immediately she heard the word mate, her face change into a worried look which replace the look which was on her face earlier.
” What’s wrong,” I asked as I moved toward her caged but I couldn’t get close to her because of the cage.
” Do you know what the word mate means?” She questioned as she close her eyes briefly and she opened it and water glimmer in her eyes. I couldn’t be more worried when she said that, what could be wrong with having a mate. I thought as I stare at her.
” I knew mate are our soulmate and are fated to be together, ” I said and she laughed heartily. It seems there is more to it, I thought as I stared at her.
“There Is more to it” she said and I looked at her with confusion visibly hitched on her face.

He thought that is all about mate, he doesn't know anything.“Aside mate is our soulmate that the humans call it” I said with a dramatic pause and he stared at me curiously with he’s brows creased and I could feel myself falling for him.
I know it’s wrong for me to fall for him after I get to know he has a mate but I couldn’t help it. I had fall in love with him at first sight but I tried hard to mask it. I sighed heavily as I stared at him. Truth be told he was a handsome merman.
“Arielle!, Arielle!, Are you even listening”
Twirly said and I sighed heavily as I jolted me out of my thoughts.
“Mate’s feel each others pain and they will always feel if they are in danger. This will activate the first day you see your mate, merman’s can’t reject their mate or else they will die” I said and he sighed heavily as he put he’s hand under he’s chin.
“I know about that or is there more to it” he asked and I nodded, he stared at me with surprised.
“You told me you are mated to the princess of this kingdom, then I will tell you to be really cautious. There is a place in all kingdom of the ocean, the place can take away someone pain when their mate is in danger” I said with a dramatic pause and he stared at me with wide eyes, he must have been scared but I know that I have no choice than to tell him.
“If one of the mate is being killed the other will not die as long as the person is in the room” I added and he stared at me with wide eyes. Tears gathered in he’s eyes and I felt sorry for him, he wouldn’t have be in this situation if not for me. I should have not tell him of the mission.
“I’m sorry Twirly, I brought it to your head” I pleaded as I stared at him with pleading eyes as tears streamed down my face.
He shouldn’t be passing through all this, he is too innocent for this. He isn’t experience and I felt really bad. My heart clenched with grieve as I stare at him, he suddenly turned to look at me with a smile and u couldn’t help but wonder why he will in this kind of situation.
“She wouldn’t do that, I suddenly have the hint to trust her” he said and I sighed heavily knowing he is right. I looked away from him and my eyes landed on the guard who stood still staring at us which I found wierd. They all stood still like they have received order from above.
“What happen to them, they all stood like statue” I said to Twirly and he smiled and I almost roll my eyes at him. What up with him and smiling this day.
He hasn’t be smiling since he’s parents rejected him after finding out he was a merman.
🧜♀️ Maria 🧜♀️I stared at my parents curiously wanting to know the reason they wanted to see my mate, I need to know before I let the guards bring them. I don’t want any thing to befall him, although we might not be in good terms but I love him. It might sound stupid of me to attack him but I got no choice.
I looked at the both of them with a raised eyebrow but they didn’t fall for that, all that wanted at that moment is to see him but I won’t let them see him unless I knew there reason.
“We wanted to tell him something” my mum said after a while of silence but I didn’t buy that since I knew the kind of parents I have. They don’t give things to people easily, and they hardly trust someone.
What did they want with him, this thought flashed through my head but I couldn’t get any of it.
“Are you now questioning my orders, I will do nothing to that innocent boy if that’s what you wanted to hear” my dad said and I breath a sigh of relief knowing he is safe because my dad always keep to his promises.
“But why do you want to see him though, he did nothing wrong,” I said and he smiled at me which creeps the hell out of me.
I swam away with a smiled on my face knowing my dad will keep to his promise, I now know he is safe but what about him being an intruder in the kingdom.
I swam into the dungeon with a smile on my face, and my face landed on the girl which I told the guards to save from dieing. I can’t let the friend of my mate die just because they were intruders. As long as my mate is safe I will keep her safe but if my mate is killed because she was an intruder I won’t hesitate to kill her.
I looked at her face, and I could feel some kind of connection between us. My eyes widened in realization, when I noticed she was the guardian of my mate. That must be the reason I took pity on her when the guards drugged her.
“Twirly, this must be your mate” I heard the girl whispered to my mate and i felt my heart fluttered.
“Yes she is, isn’t she beautiful?” He questioned silently but I heard what he said. My cheek turned red as I heard him calling me beautiful,
“My father said he wanted to see you in the throne room, she said he have a gift for you” I said breaking the awkward silence after clearing my throat. Twirly’s face burned with embarrassment when he noticed I heard everything he said.
It gladdens my heart to know that my mate is warming up to me, I could feel myself on top of the sky.
My sister Elena will be happy to see my mate.
“Open the cages,” I said to the gaurds and they did as I commanded without any question, they knew what will befall them if any of them anger me.
My mate rushed to hug her guardian, and I felt a pang of jealousy in my heart but I cleared it off my head.
🧞 Twirly 🧞Here we are seated in front of the Queen and king of this Kingdom. I don’t know why they suddenly want to see us after throwing us into. I don’t know why they suddenly want to see us. All this is getting me worried but I tried calming myself down due to what my mate said, she said they won’t harm us and that if they wanted to harm us that she will protect us with all she got.
Her parents were glaring at us, and I couldn’t help but shiver under their gaze. I could feel chills of fear run down my spine. Their gaze was boring holes in my body.
Maria seeing how uncomfortable I am, she stands in front of me boldly as she glared back at them. They all let out a smile when they saw her stand in my front over protectively.
“Maria, come over here” his mother said and she reluctantly went.
“I knew you don’t want me to do anything to them but don’t worry they are safe here. I knew what I’m doing, I knew about the blue tailed merman also” she whispered into her ear but I was able to hear what she said.
I tapped Maria body tell him to lower his guard and she did, after a while Maria father decided to break the silence which engulfed the whole place.
Her parents were seated on their thrones which was high, they all stared at us like we were ants.
“I knew the reason you are here, you are here for the golden trident right?” Her father said in more of a questioning way.
“What do you know about me?” I asked them and he chuckled loudly.
“I knew many things about you, you wanted to collect the trident and set the Pacific free from their bondage. Don’t worry, you are in the right place” her mother replied and I stared at her confusedly.
“I knew you wanted to collect the trident and then let her train you but she won’t be doing that alone Maria will help” he said and I turned to look at Arielle who was busy studying their faces and after a while she nodded.
“You will get all the support you need from us, you can ask anything as long as it is in our reach” The kind added and I sighed tiredly.
“Release them, they are our guest” the king said to the guard who freed us immediately.
“We will have a feast” her mother said and I shooked my head sadly and I looked at Arielle who seems to have the same idea as mine.
“We can’t do that now, and that will be after we were done with the mission” I said and his father nodded.
“You guys should be quick with that, I could feel trouble looming around the corner” maira father said and I sigh. It means he can also feel what I felt, all this while Arielle was staring at Maria’s parents and she removed her gaze from their body after a while. She seems to be having a hard time to trust them, she doesn’t want them to make any mistakes.
