Episode 10
The village town crier entered the palace,he bowed to the King
“Igwe I met King Ogbonna and I told him about Ifeyinwa he said he haven’t seen her, and I also announced to other villages but no one knew Ifeyinwa”The village town crier told the King
“You all can leave and continue your search for Ifeyinwa tomorrow”The King told them as they left
“I hope Ifeyinwa is still alive, please gods of our land forgive me”The King prayed
The next day the King illness was getting worst,he lied on his bed,he was unable to get up from the bed,he called two of his guards.They were the only ones around,others had left to search for Ifeyinwa
“Please go and tell the Ezeumuo that I want to see him”The King said
The guards left immediately and went to the Ezeumuo shrine,when they got to the shrine,they entered the shrine,the Ezeumuo was doing incantations.
“Wise one The King want to see you”The Guards said
The Ezeumuo laughed and followed them to the palace
The Ezeumuo entered the King room as he was unable to get up
“Igweee is only Ifeyinwa that will heal you,you’re lucky Ifeyinwa is on her way she will be here soon”The Ezeumuo said and left
Ifeyinwa heard the news,she was unhappy that she will be leaving Mr Emeka family they were so good to her,but she needed to save her community and the King,she blessed Emeka and his wife before leaving.
“Papa,mama you both have been good to me if not you people I wouldn’t have been alive,I bless you both with riches”Ifeyinwa blessed them and left
Mr Emeka and his wife and daughter cried when Ifeyinwa left
Ifeyinwa arrived her community, Immediately she stepped her feet into the community,The iroko tree grew tall again and all its dead leaves restored, and the crops harvested.
Ifeyinwa went straight to the King palace,She met the Queen,she was crying.
“Oh Ifeyinwa please forgive the King and heal him”The Queen pleaded on behalf of the King
“Lolo I’ve forgiven him already,where is the King?”Ifeyinwa asked
“He is in his room”The Queen answered
Ifeyinwa entered the King room,she sang a song and was crying.
The King sneezed,he regained himself.He apologize to Ifeyinwa
“Ifeyinwa please forgive me”The King begged
“Igwe i have forgiven you already”Ifeyinwa replied
The King stood up and hugged Ifeyinwa
“You are now my daughter”The King said
The guards and the village town crier that went to search for Ifeyinwa arrived,they were shocked to see Ifeyinwa.
“Mmaduka go and announced to everyone to come to the palace”The King said
The village town crier announced to the villagers that Ifeyinwa was back and everyone should assembled at the palace,he hit his gong
“Kom Kom Kom”The sound of the gong
” Ifeyinwa is back,the igwe want everyone to come to the palace right now”Mmaduka the village town crier announced to the people
When Chidi and Amara heard the announcement they were happy.
Everyone trooped into the palace.
“Igbo kwenu…,Igbo kwezo nu….”the King greeted
“Yeeeeeee”the villagers echoed
“Today I’m so happy that Ifeyinwa is back and have brought back fortune to our community, And she have healed my sickness with her voice,No one should accuse her again,she is not a witch but a child with destiny.Ifeyinwa is now my daughter and will be living with me in palace, anyone that wants to see her should come to the palace”The King said
Mrs Adaku regretted all she did to Ifeyinwa.She walked to where she was and knelt down before her and started crying asking for forgiveness
“Ifeyinwa I’m sorry for everything I did to you, I’m supposed to care for you when your parent died but I didn’t,I maltreated you, please Ifeyinwa forgive me”Mrs Adaku cried
“Aunty is past,I have forgiven you”Ifeyinwa replied and hugged her
Chidi and Amara smiled
“Please Chidi and Amara you both should always come to visit me anytime”Ifeyinwa said
“We will”Chidi and Amara replied
Ifeyinwa was treated with care and respect,she was a princess and the King adviser.
