MARRIED TO MY TEACHER Episode 1 – KULAYEMEN JOSEPH AONDOWASE
My name is Joseph but my friends call me Mcmech. I want to share with you all my encounter with my class teacher who is now my wife.
Many years ago, I lived with my parents. I was the first among their five children ( 3 boys and 2 girls) we graduated only from primary school. Because our parents had no money to sponsor us in higher institutions. We had a small piece of land which we used in planting some of the crops we managed to sustain ourselves till the next planting season.
Although, I was contented with what we had, but I was not happy due to the fact that my old classmates were already preparing for their final year exams. While I was still at home only hoping that God will surely answer my prayers at the right time.
One day I decided to visit my friend Michael at school 
. When I got to the school, some of my mates were not able to recognize me. Some of them had not been able to set their eyes on me for the past 6 years. While some thought I graduated but how dirty I was made them not to believe their thoughts
I called Michael aside to have a discussion with him about my situation. I told him how I have not been able to get admission due to my parents background… Before I could even finish my story, I noticed that Michael was already shedding tears. I could not help but burst out in tears also because of the agony in my heart. No one noticed what was going on, we controlled ourselves ( but the heart has no bone and the arrow of agony pierced directly to the deepest part of my heart ) and I had to shed out the agony.
Michael promised to help me if he could. He told me about his brother who is the manager of FanMilk company. He said he will discuss with him if their is any vacancy in his company, then he can fix me. I was glad when he said that. It seemed that was my happiest day on Earth. But I always believed that better days were coming.
When I got home, I was unable to sleep throughout that night. It seemed I was checking my clock after 30, 30 minutes. I woke up before everyone that morning and I went straight to our living room for the morning family prayers. Before anyone could get there, I was already singing the morning praises. After the morning prayers, I took my bath and told my parents I was going to meet a friend. When asked about breakfast, I told them that I was not hungry.
When I got to the school, the students were already on the assembly ground so I had to go back until they close before I will be able to see any student. But going back was the last thought in my mind. I stayed there for 7 hours without food nor water.
When they finally closed, I Rushed to see Michael. He smiled when he saw me and told me that his brother accepted to employ me. Immediately I heard accepted, I started laughing, I laughed the best laugh of my life. But he cut me short by saying there’s a problem. I was half dead when he said that but I managed to ask him what the problem was. To my greatest surprise, his reply was ” the only vacancy available is that of a hawker “.
I was amazed when he said that. I said in my mind “Just de play” he never knew I will even be happy if I am employed as a toilet cleaner in that company.
After our discussion, I followed him to the company and his brother offered me the Job and I was granted the permission to resume work the following day.
